A Season Apart

2024–2025 Season: a unique one… and full of promise

As the 2024–2025 season slowly comes to an end, it’s time for me to take a step back and reflect on the past few months — intense, sometimes frustrating, but always rich in lessons learned.

This year, we managed to release three webisodes, each with its share of challenges, but also many rewarding moments. We still love this format for its flexibility and its immediacy. We also had the opportunity to explore new technical approaches, especially with the arrival of 360° cameras, bringing even more immersive experiences to our stories.

On a personal note, this season was unique. The arrival of Djulian, our newest little family member, has been an immense joy… but also a real shift in our family rhythm! Free time was scarce, and mountain outings had to be planned differently.

To top it off, we had a tricky weather schedule: when the snow came, I was working — and when I was free, the conditions weren’t always there. That’s part of the game, but it’s in these kinds of seasons that you realize how precious each outing really is.

That said, every moment on skis remained magical. This year, filming on-piste turned out to be particularly interesting. We captured movement from new angles, adding a sharper, more dynamic touch to the footage. There’s definitely more to explore in this direction — showing technique, edge control, body movement — with a more “sporty” eye, without losing the poetry of motion.

Gear check: pure joy
Absolutely nothing to complain about — quite the opposite!
   • The new-gen Scarpa TX Pro boots were outstanding — and I’m excited to compare them with the TX Compsoon.
   • The Meidjo 3 from Inwild keeps its promises: reliable, precise, and elegant. Pure joy.
   • My Armada skis performed in every condition without fail. It’s amazing when you finally find skis that fit you just right.
   • And of course, my Dakine packs — always smartly designed and practical — carry everything I need for filming in the field.

What’s next?
Despite the slightly slower rhythm this year, ideas are flowing. We’re currently working on a new film project, and we’re in the middle of the scriptwriting phase. It’s a moment we particularly love — when everything is still possible, when images form in your head before becoming reality on snow.

Thank you to everyone who follows us, supports us, and shares this love for mountains, skiing, and the outdoors. The season may not be fully over yet, but one thing’s for sure: our drive is still intact — and the upcoming projects already have us buzzing.

See you very soon,
Marc
